F*ck Around and Find Out

When I first saw the famous YouTube video, I loved it.  Something so true, profound, and simple (and funny).  You can find it here:  https://youtu.be/WntjAM2wqF8?si=l85EbB4DwyNIxJ1x

Bottom line, “f*ck around and find out” is a fun life hack. You mess with something, see what breaks, and learn way faster than if you sat around planning forever.

Nobody figures stuff out by waiting for the perfect moment. Elon Musk didn’t become who he is by reading about electric cars.  He built them and crashed them. Every crash was data.

The beauty of messing around is that it’s sneaky productive. You’re experimenting, even if it feels like you’re just poking things to see what happens. That’s how most good ideas start: a little curiosity, a little chaos, and a lot of “oops.”

Sure, it’s messy. Sometimes you’ll feel like an idiot. People who never feel dumb are either playing it safe or lying. Either way, they’re not finding out much.

Here’s the thing: nobody hands you a map for this stuff. If you want to get anywhere new, you’ve got to stumble into it. That’s why “f*ck around and find out” is underrated. It’s not about being reckless; it’s about being curious enough to try and brave enough to fail.

Lesson Learned:  Build the terrible prototype. Launch the new idea or service. The faster you f*ck around, the faster you’ll find out—and the more fun you’ll have along the way.
